Who am I
My name is Sofia Ramirez. I am a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor I (LADC I #24328) in Massachusetts with a Master’s degree in Clinical & Health Psychology. I’ve dedicated my career to supporting individuals and families affected by addiction, mental health challenges, and life transitions.
I previously worked at Charles River Recovery, where I served as a Lead Primary Therapist, guiding patients through the critical early stages of treatment. That experience taught me the importance of continuity of care — how much it matters for patients to feel supported as they move from structured treatment into the realities of everyday life.
Beyond treatment centers, I have also worked with incarcerated individuals seeking second opportunities in life. Supporting people in correctional settings deepened my belief in the power of recovery, resilience, and the human capacity for change when given the right tools and support.
Today, I provide online counseling in English and Spanish, helping clients maintain recovery, build healthier coping strategies, and strengthen their confidence in moving forward. I use evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing, always tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I believe recovery is not just about avoiding what harms us — it’s about creating a life that feels meaningful, balanced, and hopeful.
“Recovery doesn’t end when treatment does — it’s just the beginning of your next chapter.”
