FAQs
What is online counseling and how does it work?
Online counseling is just like in-person therapy, but we meet through a secure video platform. You can connect from your home, using your computer or phone. Sessions are private, confidential, and designed to fit into your life with flexibility.
I use evidence-based practices such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), always tailored to your unique needs. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can learn practical skills, feel understood, and continue moving forward in your recovery.
What can I expect in my first session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about your goals, your current challenges, and what you’d like to focus on in therapy. You don’t need to prepare anything — just come as you are. Together, we’ll create a plan that feels realistic and supportive.
How often do we meet?
Most people start with weekly sessions to build momentum, but frequency can be adjusted based on your needs. Some clients continue weekly, while others move to every other week or monthly as they feel more stable in their recovery.
Are you licensed?
Yes. I am licensed in Massachusetts as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor I (LADC I #24328). I also hold a Master’s degree in Clinical & Health Psychology and previously worked as the Lead Primary Therapist at Charles River Recovery (CSS). I’m currently completing the requirements toward my LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) credential.
What is your experience with addiction and recovery?
Since 2018, I have worked supporting individuals struggling with substance use, mental health challenges, and life transitions. At Charles River Recovery, I guided patients through the early stages of treatment, and now I focus on helping people maintain recovery, prevent relapse, and continue growing in their next chapter. Family work.
How much does a session cost?
My standard rate is $80 USD for a 55-minute session. If overtime happens, this will be charged x2.
4-session bundle: $300 (paid upfront)
8-session bundle: $560 (paid upfront)
How do I pay?
I currently accept PayPal, Venmo, and direct transfers to my U.S. bank account. Payment is due before each session to secure your appointment. I’ll provide clear instructions before your first session so the process feels simple and stress-free.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not bill insurance directly. Some clients are able to submit receipts for out-of-network reimbursement, depending on their insurance plan. If you’d like to explore this, I’m happy to provide a receipt you can use.
Is online counseling confidential?
Yes. I use secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms to protect your privacy. What we discuss in sessions is strictly confidential, with the exception of situations where safety is at risk (such as danger to yourself or others).
What if I’m in crisis?
I am not able to provide emergency or crisis services. If you are in immediate danger, please call 911 (U.S.) or your local emergency number. In the U.S., you can also dial 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. I
Do you offer bilingual sessions?
Yes. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish. You are welcome to use whichever language feels most comfortable for you — or even a mix of both.
Do you see family members or loved ones?
Yes, if appropriate. Recovery affects the whole family, and I can provide support sessions for loved ones who want to better understand how to help and set healthy boundaries.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Life happens, and sometimes plans need to change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance so we can free that time for someone else. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, are billed at the full session rate. Thank you for understanding and respecting this policy — it helps me keep my schedule consistent and fair for all clients.
Who can work with you?
At this time, I am licensed to provide counseling to individuals who are physically located in Massachusetts during our sessions. If you’re in Massachusetts, we can work together online no matter where I am based.
